“We feel very fortunate to have been part of the Apples and Honey family. It is a really lovely nursery with exceptional teachers who are both caring and educational. Our daughter has really enjoyed going to the nursery and it has been great to see her blossom and develop during her time here. The nursery is fantastic and tailoring activities to individual children's needs and I feel it has been great in preparing us for school.
The nursery has a really varied curriculum and they regularly do field trip outings as well as forest school which our daughter has really enjoyed. There is a faith element to the activities and what is taught. We are not religious, however, our daughter has really enjoyed learning about Judaism and it has been lovely to be part of the Friday Shabbat celebrations with the nursery and other families.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough!”
“This is a small and friendly nursery. Staff are very accommodating and really supported my twins to settle in very well. The nursery is very clean. There is a very friendly and helpful security staff at the front gate to greet and let parents into the waiting area before nursery starts, to avoid waiting outside in the cold weather. What impressed me about this nursery is how the Early Years curriculum was explained to me as a parent and how I am kept informed of my twins’ development.
The outdoor activities are very good i.e. playground, Forest Walk etc. My twins started in October only saying a few words and they can now form sentences. My daughter can change her clothes and put on her jacket independently! My children are of African origin and Christian faith but their values and culture has been fully embraced by the staff. I feel my children are receiving the best education, not just academically but also practically to help them progress and succeed in life.”
“Apples and Honey is a hidden gem. It is an absolutely outstanding nursery. I sent all 4 of my children there and they thrived. I made significant sacrifices to get them there as it was a 20-30 minute car journey away. I can only heap praise on the staff who are so experienced, highly qualified and have such an intelligent and gentle way of approaching everything they do. The facilities are wonderful, the outdoor play space is so unusual and incredibly well-equipped and the indoor space is carefully laid-out. Both areas ensure the children’s physical, intellectual, spiritual and emotional development.
My children all look back on their years at Apples and Honey with such fondness. They still have friendships formed there, as do I. This is because the ethos encourages community and lasting relationships. Parental involvement is encouraged without any pressure to working parents and other family members such as Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents are warmly welcomed.”
